Biografía:
I've taught English from babies to senior citizens, and I understand human nature and human learning well. I have found that the best way for people to learn is by having fun and being relaxed, yet challenged, at the same time.
Mi metodología de enseñanza:
Students should expect that they will really be listened to and sympathized with. I treat my students with an understanding of what it’s like to learn a language and of the challenges usually encountered. I gauge what the student needs the most, in a general sense and for the particular lesson, and then I use a variety of creative activities focused on speaking and listening.
Mi experiencia docente:
I've been teaching for 18 years, from babies to senior citizens, in a variety of countries and to students of numerous nationalities. I enjoy teaching senior citizens because of the life experience they bring to the lessons, and I love teaching kids because of the fun and creative lessons we can enjoy together. In recent years I have become mainly an online teacher and have focused my energy on making the online environment as engaging as the in-person one.
Mi experiencia fuera de la enseñanza:
I have learnt Spanish and have become a fluent Japanese speaker. For some time I had "lost" the ability to speak my native Polish but fought back and regained it. I understand the challenges of learning or improving a language.
