Joanna Mckeogh (was Appleby)

Bio:

I worked in the electronics and automotive industry for over 10 years. I got the chance to move to the Czech Republic & never looked back! I passed by TEFL in Prague in 2011 and I taught English as around east Czech for 5 years. Since 2016 I have been a Freelance English teacher "on the road". I spent a few months living in Malta and Sicily. Now I live between the UK and Czechia.

I've been a TEFL qualified teacher since 2008 and I have taught, face to face, one to one classes, small groups and I've also taught larger groups in a secondary school in the Czech Republic. I started teaching online in 2016. Most of my students, so far, have been adults, but I am getting more and more younger students now.

My background outside of teaching:

I've worked in a variety of jobs, from the checkout at a home improvement warehouse to skilled assembler in an electronics factory. I have always loved computing and I spend a lot of time working with databases and websites. I am now studying computing at degree level.
