Karolina Szczepanik
Bio:
Japanese language and culture was my major at the Warsaw University. I also studied one year in Japan. I help students systematize their knowledge of the language using my own materials in which I put a lot of colors and pictures. I am a visual person myself and I know how helpful such materials are :) In addition, I focus on conversations - the more we talk, the more we remember.
My teaching methodology:
My teaching background:
English - 2 years; My students are those who acquired the basics of this language at school but still don't feel comfortable speaking; Japanese - 2 years; I had students who wanted to learn only the basics, as well as higher level students who wanted to polish their skills.
My background outside of teaching:
My professional background is mainly connected with non-formal education. I work at the NGO that organizes international youth exchanges on various topics (entrepreneurship, ecology, culture, active citizenship, etc). Apart from that, I used to be a tour guide for Japanese tourists in Warsaw.
