Bio:

Hello! I can teach you conversational and formal writing skills. But most importantly, I can teach you how to take control of your own language learning, so that you make real progress, fast. Because I am fluent in several languages, I understand the problems students face, and how to solve them. Lesson example: a customized learning plan based on the student's objectives and needs, using authentic multi-media materials, such as articles, book extracts, and videos as talking points.

My teaching background:

I taught English to large classes in Chinese high schools for one year. I tutored and coached individual students in China for several years. I taught Mandarin to American high school students for 6 months.

My background outside of teaching:

I am a translator and I love to read and learn new languages in my free time. I lived in Qingdao and Taiwan for a total of 4 years, where I studied, worked, and traveled. I also have lived in France for one year. My interests and passions include literature, global affairs, history, nature, hiking, sports, and music. I can talk about anything!
