Bio:

I'm convinced that full immersion in the language during class will give you the confidence you need to navigate francophone contexts on your own. I enjoy guiding students through the process of making the language their own, using culture as a bridge (food, lifestyles, films... there are no limits. The good news is: we’ll draw the roadmap together). Of course, there will also be space to work through any grammar questions you may have, but always in context and with a clear communicative goal.

My teaching methodology:

My classes are mainly based on a communicative approach that focuses on oral production and comprehension. I'm interested in providing useful tools for everyday life, so that students gain confidence to interact in French-speaking contexts. Moreover, each student's goals, interests, and hobbies will shape the path to build a personalized learning plan and choose discussion topics. To help students stay motivated and connected to the language, I work with reading and listening comprehension activities, guided writing, and projects that can be developed step by step. I rely on materials from websites such as TV5, Francolab, RFI, and Le Point du FLE.

My teaching background:

Between 2018 and 2021, I had the opportunity to teach French to groups of children, teenagers, and adults. During this time, I began to discover the advantages of virtual learning environments. The years I spent working with teenagers in a secondary school setting led me to explore different learning styles and find ways to make French relevant to my students’ daily lives. Since 2023, I have been fully dedicated to online teaching, and this decision has allowed me to witness first- hand the potential of distance education.

My background outside of teaching:

My main professional activity since completing my master’s degree in linguistics has been teaching French in various contexts, working with children, teenagers, and adults. Throughout my career, I have developed curriculum plans and adapted them to different learning styles. In 2021, I completed a one-year baking training program, which I combined with my French teaching by offering cooking classes to secondary school students.
