My teaching methodology:
My teaching background:
I love teaching students of all ages. I used to study Speech and Language Therapy and have achieved Grade 8 from the Royal Irish Academy of Music . I was then invited by my drama teacher to become a teacher of Speech and Language therapy. I really enjoyed teaching children and teenagers and improving their confidence. I moved to Portugal last year and am beginning to learn their language so I completely understand the difficulties in learning a new language, completely different to your own. I am extremely patient and kind because of this . I plan to make the conversations fun and interactive to make it easier for the student to open up and speak about their views.
My background outside of teaching:
Hi, my name is Claire , and I was born in Ireland and am a native English speaker. I have a BA in Media Management and Production, specialising in Radio. So I had great fun working as a producer and presenter in a few radio stations in Dublin producing and researching shows. I have lived and worked in Ireland as well as Australia (for one year) and New Zealand (for four years). I have travelled a little bit in South East Asia during that time. My many roles in Ireland as well as abroad always involved customer service so I understand what it takes to interact well with people. I love interacting with others from different countries and learning their language and cultures.
