I like to make learning english a fun and rewarding experience for my students. I love to play games that allow my students to practice their speaking in a relaxed and engaging way. I encourage students to speak as much as possible and try to keep book work to a minimum except when it is necessary and relevant. I use lots of videos and pictures to help my students visualize new vocabulary.

With my new students I usually give them a speaking test to assess their level of proficiency. We will be using lots of props and images to help visualize new vocabulary words. Speaking activities in which the students are given the chance to talk about their interests and practice english in a conversational setting are very useful. Games are a great way to practice new grammar points and vocab.

I taught English to students ages 7-16 in Vietnam for 2 years. I taught in person at an English Center and typically had 16-18 students. I taught the smaller groups (6-8 students) online during the Covid-19 closures in 2021.

One of my favorite things to do is go dancing with my friends. I like to do active things such as skateboarding, hiking, and mountain biking. I have traveled a lot through South America and Mexico. I lived in Colombia for 6 months.
