I have valuable experience teaching in language schools, companies, and also giving private, tailor-made lessons to individual students. I use the communicative method, because I believe real communication is the most effective way to learn a language. Therefore I rely on conversations, roleplays, as well as traditional grammar exercises and quizzes. Finally, students can expect a friendly, fun, and personal approach from my lessons.

I started my teaching career after university, working at a public school in Bucharest, Romania, where I got to know the local culture and enjoyed an exciting life as an American in Romania! Following this, I continued teaching in a variety of language schools in Eastern and Central Europe, getting to know each country and its people along the way. And of course developing as a teacher, gaining more experience teaching adults, businessmen and women, and earning my Cambridge CELTA teaching qualification.

I have lived and worked for many years in the countries of Eastern Europe, including the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Russia, and Romania. I've always been interested in the cultures and histories of this region and will ask your views on different topics, because I always want to learn more!
