Bio:
highly personalised, interactive sessions designed to get you speaking German confidently from day one, in a relaxed, encouraging environment where mistakes are treated as natural stepping stones to improvement. Lessons are structured yet flexible, tailored to the your own personal goals, whether it’s for work, travel, or a hobby. Lessons include a mix of conversational practice, real-life role-playing, and structured exercises to reinforce grammar in context, using my own materials and courses.
My teaching methodology:
Tailored lessons from an experienced teacher with over 15 years of professional, immersion-based German experience, offering both structured Goethe-Institut materials (or equivalent A1-C1) and a fun, personalised approach. Fast-Track Taster Course: A specialized 10-lesson beginner course ("Meine Welt auf Deutsch"- My World in German) focusing on rapid vocabulary acquisition—aiming for 500- 1000 words and conversational confidence. Practical Focus: Engaging lessons centred on daily life, hobbies, work, and travel, supported by interactive PowerPoint materials designed to get you speaking quickly.
My teaching background:
Following my university degree in German and Music, I worked in two German schools assisting with Music and English. I then transitioned into the corporate sector, working in German-speaking customer services for Michelin Tyres, BNY, and Urban Outfitters, where I honed my skills in professional communication and cross-cultural understanding. For the past ten years, I have been a full-time private tutor for German and Piano, sometimes teaching ESL and Violin additionally. I teach German only to adults currently, but may explore the possibility of teaching children in the future.
My background outside of teaching:
I have worked extensively with people possessing a range of cognitive and developmental conditions, i.e. autism, dyslexia and ADHD, and can work sensitively with all individuals.
