Bio:
I help kids gain confidence speaking in complete sentences and engaging in active conversation. I zero-in on their interests and likes and create classes that play off of what's important to the child. I focus on the child talking more and me less and less, until they can lead the conversation. We incorporate grammar within their speaking, to empower him or her to express what's on their mind.
My teaching methodology:
- I will focus on talking about what interests your child the most
- your child will be encouraged to speak in complete sentences
- your child will gradually learn how to lead the conversation
- with greater confidence, your child and I will laugh and play with English, have fun, engage in more interesting conversations, answer questions, sing and read out loud.
My teaching background:
I have taught more than 1,150 individual students in more than 6,000 classes over the past several years with an excellent 5 out of 5 parental approval rating. Over the past 20 years I have developed hundreds of digital workbooks for K-12 students and taught classroom teachers how to use them.
My background outside of teaching:
I'm a software entrepreneur who has raised two amazing children of his own to be multi-lingual and multi-cultural. Between them, they speak fluent Spanish, German, Mandarin, and of course perfect English. I believe a child's acquiring a second or third language greatly assists them academically.
