Bio:
Hi there! I'm Teacher Anthea! Get ready for fun-filled lessons packed with games, songs, stories, and smiles! I help kids learn English the fun way — through laughter, creativity, and lots of encouragement. Whether we're learning the ABCs or practicing full sentences, I make sure every class feels like playtime with a purpose. I’m patient, energetic, and love seeing kids grow in confidence. Let’s explore the wonderful world of English together — one giggle at a time!
My teaching methodology:
Students can expect a fun, interactive, and supportive learning environment where they feel confident and excited to learn English. My classes are structured but flexible, designed to match each student’s level and learning style. I use a variety of teaching methods, including Total Physical Response (TPR), visual aids, games, songs, and storytelling to keep young learners engaged and motivated. I rely on exercises that build the four core skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—through age-appropriate activities. These include picture-based vocabulary games, role-playing, simple dialogues, phonics drills, matching and sorting tasks, short reading passages, and creative writing prompts. I also use digital flashcards, interactive quizzes, and educational videos. I tailor each lesson to the student’s interests and goals, and I share all necessary learning materials directly in the virtual classroom so everything is easy to access. Most importantly, I aim to make learning English a positive and enjoyable experience!
My teaching background:
As an English teacher, I have five years of classroom experience working with children at the pre-primary level, and two years of experience as a private tutor, assisting students with homework and exam preparation.
My background outside of teaching:
In the past, I have worked as both a part time Copy Editor and a Videographer (Video Editor), gaining valuable experience in storytelling, attention to detail, and creative communication. These roles helped sharpen my skills in language, visual media, and narrative structure. Currently, I am channeling my passion for storytelling into writing my first youth novel, a project that combines my love for language, imagination, and connecting with young audiences through meaningful stories.
