Bio:
Hi! I’m Hasmik, and if you believe that learning a language should be more than memorising grammar rules then we’re already on the same page! As a multilingual tutor, I understand that every student learns differently, so I create personalised, engaging lessons based on their goals, interests, and learning style. I’ve been teaching since 2024. My teaching style is friendly, patient, and supportive. Let’s turn “I can’t speak this language” into “Wait… I actually did it!”.
My teaching methodology:
Students can expect my classes to be friendly, interactive, and personalised. I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach, so I first try to understand each student’s level, goals, interests, and learning style. My lessons can include conversation practice, vocabulary building, grammar exercises, pronunciation work, reading, writing, games, role-plays, and real-life situations. I also like using videos, short texts, pictures, dialogues, and other engaging materials to make lessons more dynamic and memorable. Whenever possible, I connect activities to topics that students genuinely enjoy. Most importantly, students can expect a supportive environment where mistakes are completely normal. My goal is for every student to leave the lesson feeling that they have learned something useful and are one step closer to their goal.
My teaching background:
I’ve been teaching languages since 2024 and have had the pleasure of working with children aged 6–12 as well as teenagers and adults. In the beginning of my teaching journey I mainly focused on Armenian, English, and Russian. I have taught both online and offline and have also gained experience teaching through Preply. My students are from different countries and backgrounds. Working with such different learners has taught me how important it is to be flexible and understand that every student has their own personality, goals, strengths, and challenges. In recent years I have also been on my own French-learning journey. I also obtained my DELF B2 certificate and now feel ready and excited to share my knowledge of French with my students. I know what it feels like to struggle with pronunciation, forget vocabulary, misunderstand grammar, or know exactly what you want to say but not find the right words. Because of this I understand how important patience and encouragement are.
My background outside of teaching:
Beyond teaching languages, my academic and professional background has shaped me into a well-rounded and adaptable tutor. I am currently a fourth-year Law student at the French University in Armenia. As part of my legal education, I have also gained practical experience in different courts and at a notary. This hands-on experience has allowed me to see how legal knowledge is applied in real professional situations and has strengthened my sense of responsibility, attention to detail, organisation, and professional communication.
