Bio:
I qualified to teach English in 1990 while living in the UK. Since that time, I have taught a wide variety of students from many countries, both in person and online. I started teaching online in August 2018 and can offer help in many different areas such as Business English, Job Interview Prep and Conversational English. I also offer unique targeted lessons in accent correction, intonation, and coaching in giving presentations. Please message before making any bookings.

My teaching background:
I have taught in person in language schools in London, privately in person, online on a variety of platforms, and privately online to over 50 students from 25 countries. I have worked with all levels of students from A2 to C2, both children and adults.
My background outside of teaching:
I am a native English speaker originally from New York. I currently live in the Pacific Northwest area of the USA. I have lived in a number of different English-speaking countries: UK for 33 years, US for 26, Ireland for 18 months, Australia for 9 months. I have visited China, Kazakhstan, Greece, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Egypt, France, Northern Ireland and Malta. In the USA I have visited Orlando, Vermont, Virginia, Long Island, San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, Portland and Phoenix and I lived in Las Vegas for 2 years before relocating to Sacramento in northern California for 2 1/2 years. I completed a degree in Biology in New York before relocating to the UK and I am very interested in and knowledgeable about science. I love music, cooking, travelling, playing Candy Crush on my phone, and bright bold colours surrounding me whenever possible.
