Bio:
I am a certified English tutor who is passionate about helping others improve their knowledge and skills in a way that best suits their pace and learning process. I strongly believe in a personalized learning approach and a calm, comfortable environment to ensure that students do not feel pressured. I have experience with students of all ages and cultural backgrounds, online and one-on-one and have a true passion for teaching and connecting with others.
My teaching methodology:
- Articles, books and writing activities for exposure to grammar, punctuation, new vocabulary and spelling.
- General conversation to improve fluency.
- Slideshows, PDF files and flashcards.
- Short activities and questions based on the topic of the lesson.
My teaching background:
I am a TEFL certified English tutor. I have experience with students of all ages and cultural backgrounds, online and one-on-one and have a true passion for teaching and connecting with others. I have been tutoring in English and other subjects for just over four years and hope to continue doing so for many years to come.
My background outside of teaching:
I was born in South Africa but have a multitude of cultures in my family who are from different parts of the world including Rhodesia, New Zealand, England and Scotland . I speak both English and Afrikaans fluently. I love learning about other cultures, religions and traditions and hope to do so in my teaching on this platform. I am a mother before anything else.
