Bio:
Hi! I'm Salma from Cairo. I studied German Studies and have been teaching German for over 2 years. I support learners from A1 to C1 – with grammar, pronunciation, or exam prep (Goethe/telc). My teaching background:
I have over two years of experience teaching German to adults, in my local community and online. I teach levels from A1 to C1, and I hold a C1 certificate from the Goethe-Institut. In my classes, I use a variety of engaging methods such as videos, music, games, and interactive exercises to improve pronunciation and language skills. I also design my own PowerPoint presentations tailored to each student’s level and goals. My lessons include grammar explanations, conversation practice, and writing tasks. Many of my students have prepared for Goethe and telc exams, and I’ve helped them achieve great results. Whether it’s exam preparation or building everyday language confidence, I adapt my teaching style to meet individual needs.
My background outside of teaching:
As a language learner myself, I understand the struggles of learning a new language – and this helps me support my students with empathy and patience. I studied German Studies with a focus on linguistics, literature, and translation, which gives me deep insights into how languages work. I'm fluent in Arabic and German, and I also speak English, a bit of Turkish, and Spanish, so I’m used to switching between languages and cultures. I love connecting with people from different countries, and I’m always curious to learn more about their culture and background. I also enjoy working with written texts, correcting writing, and helping students express themselves clearly.
