Bio:
I live in Southern Spain and started teaching in 2007 and have taught Cambridge Exam courses and Preparation since 2010 (NO IELTS, please :)) My preferred level to teach is higher-level teenagers to adults. I am a teacher who loves to share experiences and culture in class, so enjoy doing conversation classes. I am hoping to improve my Spanish and restart my German, although I am a better teacher than a student :) I like reading crime/detective fiction and love to create things
My teaching methodology:
My teaching background:
I am a qualified self-employed EFL teacher since 2007 and have taught Cambridge Exam courses and Preparation since 2010 Preliminary, First and Advanced (NO IELTS, please :)) My preferred levels to teach are B1/B2/C1. I have worked in academies, local schools and businesses, and online, doing all types of English learning objectives and teaching all ages. In 2016 I opened my own academy in the local village but in February 2022, I had to close and look to develop my online business further. I have used many books by different publishers over the years and mainly use my own materials and online platforms in class. I am currently updating the course I provide for younger teens preparing for B1/B2/C1. I am very flexible in the way I teach as I believe every student is important and one style of teaching does not fit all!! The materials I use are to give every learner the chance to be presented with the objective and the opportunity to practice and improve.I believe your goal is my goal!!
My background outside of teaching:
I have experience in customer service, sales, and banking. Before I left the UK to start my adventure in Spain, I was a mortgage adviser. I enjoy travelling, horse-riding and reading. I try to keep up-to-date with world news and events and enjoy debating the issues within class
