Bio:

My main interests are helping students improve pronunciation and clarity in spoken English and to produce more natural and concise written English. The goal of both of these things is to sound as close to a native speaker as possible. I have more than 6 years of English-teaching experience and a background in language study and linguistics. *Important Note: I teach only adults age 17 and above. Thank you for understanding.*

My teaching methodology:
I use a technique called FCA. It means 'Focus Correction Areas.' Each class is focused on your personal correction areas but will follow this general format: Accent/pronunciation classes will include study of consonant and vowel sounds in class, followed by audio-recorded homework in between lessons. Speech classes will have a predetermined topic and will include detailed PDF notes (sent after the lesson) of corrections of pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. Writing classes will involve completing a writing assignment about a specific topic before the lesson. During the lesson, we will go over your writing and work on perfecting it to sound more natural and native.
My teaching background:

I have more than 6 years of English-teaching experience and a background in language study and linguistics. Some of my most common lessons include: -American accent training -guided speech practice to develop more confidence and focus on correction areas -common idiomatic expressions -grammar -guided writing practice

My background outside of teaching:

I worked as a substitute teacher for my local public school district for one year before transitioning to online teaching. I have also worked in client services for banks and medical supply companies.
