My teaching methodology:
In my classes, students can expect a balance of structure and creativity. I use modern, visually engaging materials, including LIM resources, custom presentations, dialogues, and real-life texts. We practice speaking, listening, and grammar in context — with plenty of cultural references, humor, and encouragement. I give clear explanations, regular feedback, and optional homework. Whether you love structure or prefer flexible conversation, I adapt to your style and goals.
My teaching background:
I’ve been teaching Russian as a foreign language since 2020. My students range from absolute beginners to advanced learners. I’ve worked with adults from all over the world, including professionals, language enthusiasts, and heritage speakers. I tailor my lessons to each student’s needs — whether they want to master grammar, improve conversation, or explore Russian culture through language.
My background outside of teaching:
I have a multicultural background shaped by life across Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia. I was born in Kyiv, grew up in Moscow, and spent part of my early life in Belarus. This diverse experience helps me connect with students from different cultures and understand the nuances of language, identity, and communication. I bring this openness and cultural sensitivity into every lesson — helping learners not only study Russian, but feel at home in it. Before becoming a language tutor, I worked for over 10 years as a journalist, editor, and content creator. This background helps me explain language clearly, focus on communication, and bring real-world context to my lessons. I'm also a certified chef 👩🍳 working in Sweden, and I speak five languages — so I truly understand the challenges and joys of learning a new one!
