Bio:
Since I have learned Spanish and studied American Sign Language, Arabic and Quechua I let my experience as a student inform my teaching. I am empathetic and patient. I enjoy using comparisons and examples to help students learn. I create an atmosphere that is relaxing and enjoyable. And I try to make learning engaging and fun!

My teaching background:
I have been an English as Second Language Teacher for almost ten years I have taught professionals that work in Disney, Google, Oracle, P&G, IBM, Pfizer and more I have helped students get their desired score on the IELTS exam. I currently live in Latin America and have been volunteering in the Spanish speaking community for over 20 years.
My background outside of teaching:
Before and concurrently with being a language teacher I have been a professional Spanish English Interpreter/Translator for a Refugee Organization in the United States. I have been volunteering with the Spanish speaking community in and out of the United States for the last 20 years. I absolutely LOVE to travel. I have been to the Bahamas, The USVI, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Canada, Mexico, Spain, Panama, Peru, Colombia and Chile. So I am very knowledgeable about Latin America. I have over 15 years working non-profits and US Universities. I also love to read. My favorite genres are travel, history and adventure.
