Axel Cardenas
Bio:
I’be been a teacher for 5 years. I teach General, Business, Conversational, and Academic English from beginner to advanced levels. I use a student-centered approach with discussions, and practical exercises. I break down grammar into easy steps and focus on real-life language use. Beyond teaching, I have experience in academic coordination and teacher management, which helped me build a structured approach to language learning that adapts to different types of learning styles.
My teaching methodology:
My teaching background:
I have more than 5 years of experience teaching English and Spanish to a wide range of students. I’ve worked with young adults, professionals, and university students in various settings, mostly in language schools and private tutoring (both online and face-to-face for different language schools), and as a substitute teacher at secondary schools and universities. I specialize in teaching General English, Business English, Academic English, and Conversational English to learners from A1 to C2 levels. My approach is student-centered, focusing on each student’s unique needs and goals. I also have extensive experience working with beginners, and many of my students appreciate the way I break down complex grammar into easy-to-understand explanations. Additionally, I’ve designed curriculum and exams for Language schools, ensuring lessons are both structured and flexible for both students and teachers.
My background outside of teaching:
My primary focus has been mainly teaching for most of my professional life. I have also gained experience in academic coordination and teacher management. In these roles, I conducted teacher observations, provided feedback, organized workshops and training for teachers, and developed exams and curriculum. Outside of education, I have some experience in sales, management, customer service, and interpretation (for customer service in the US). Through these roles, I could develop and improve several skills in communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal relationships.
