Bio:
Hey! Grant here. I'm a tutor with many years of experience teaching others about various topics. I'm excited to accompany you as you improve your language skills. In my classes, I try to be fun and engaging. A little about me: I love all sports from badminton and ping pong to snowboarding and surfing. I love the outdoors. I go hiking, backpacking, ride motorcycles and so on. I also enjoy cooking and eating foods from different countries. I look forward to meeting you!
My teaching methodology:
- Conduct well-organized and structured classes
- Operate according to organizational methods as well as personal knowledge to deliver in class
- Catch mistakes and correct them swiftly
- Encourage students and give advice on effective learning methods
- Address students questions, concerns, and challenges related to the exam
- Dedicated mentor passionate about helping students build knowledge and achieving passing test scores.
My teaching background:
I am TESL/TESOL certified. In the past, I taught English in China at a middle School for 6 months. And over the last 20 years, I have taught other topics one on one with various students. The students that I have spent time with range from 10 years old to 50 and have come from all sorts of areas around the world. I have taught in the following settings: in a language school, in a primary or secondary school, s a private tutor (face-to-face) and as a private tutor (online).
My background outside of teaching:
Teaching is not my only area of experience. I also worked in the construction management field as a project engineer for roughly 10 years before moving to Argentina, where I currently live. Prior to that I was mainly involved in the customer service industry.
