Bio:
Hello! My name is Kay and I have been teaching English online for the past 3 years. I have a genuine passion for teaching and believe in making learning both enjoyable and effective. I incorporate technology seamlessly into my teaching to create a dynamic a learning experience. I strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where students feel comfortable to express themselves.
My teaching methodology:
- Interactive Activities: Role-plays, discussions, and debates to enhance speaking and listening skills.
- Reading Comprehension: Articles, short stories, and news pieces to improve reading skills and vocabulary.
- Writing Assignments: Essays, reports, and email writing to develop writing proficiency.
- Grammar and Vocabulary Drills: Targeted exercises and games to reinforce language rules and expand vocabulary.
- Listening Exercises: Audio clips, podcasts, and videos to improve listening comprehension.
- Digital textbooks, worksheets, interactive quizzes, and multimedia resources. By providing diverse materials, I aim to create a rich and immersive learning experience that supports students' progress and keeps them engaged.
My teaching background:
With extensive experience in language teaching, I have had the pleasure of working with a diverse range of students. From August 2022 to May 2023, I taught young children and adults from Polish, Japanese, and Brazilian backgrounds through one-on-one lessons on Preply. Following that, from May 2023 to August 2024, I taught group lessons to Italian and Spanish university students and adults at Edusogno. This rich experience has equipped me with the skills to effectively teach both Business English and General English to a variety of learners.
My background outside of teaching:
I bring a diverse professional background that enhances my ability to connect with students and meet their unique needs. With a strong foundation in electrical engineering, I understand the technical language and can assist students who need English for specialized fields of complex concepts in a simple and clear manner. As a seasoned traveler who has visited 12 countries in 12 months, I have a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and can relate to students from various backgrounds. Additionally, my work as a model and a content creator reflects my creativity and adaptability, which I incorporate into my teaching methods to make lessons more dynamic and enjoyable.
