My teaching background:
I’m a native speaker of both English and Armenian, having grown up in the U.S., Armenia, and Canada. I hold a BA in English and Communications and have been teaching languages to adults for almost 11 years. My teaching journey started with Armenian for English speakers, then I became a TEFL-certified English teacher. I’ve worked with adult learners from all over the world, helping them build confidence and fluency. I’ve also taught at summer camps, collaborated as a translator for online language schools, and worked as a writer, editor, and proofreader. My deep appreciation for language fuels my teaching—I believe it’s our most powerful tool for communication, connection, and understanding.
My background outside of teaching:
Outside of teaching languages, I’m a certified self-development and relationship coach, and I love writing about growth and connection. I also have a background in theater—I’ve worked as an actor, director, and writer. After university, I co-founded and ran an English-language theater group with friends and have collaborated on short films and creative projects for several years. Travel is another passion of mine. I love exploring the diverse cultures and beautiful places our planet has to offer. Each place I visit helps me understand the world—and myself—a little bit better, and I bring those insights back into my teaching. So, if you enjoy travel, the arts, psychology, or personal development, we’re going to have a lot to talk about!
