Bio:

My name is Radia, I am Spanish-Moroccan. I am currently a doctoral student in Migratory Studies and I am completing my second master's degree in Sciences of Religions: History and Societies at the University of Pablo de Olavide. I am also following a course on Teaching (Teachers Aide) at International Career Institute. I have worked for more than 7 years teaching both presential and online.

My teaching methodology:
I would describe my teaching style as coaching. Instead of offering answers to my students, I try to ask the right questions, and with the help of demonstration and group activities, they should find the answers. In my opinion, the young generation lacks critical thinking and creativity. I try to help them develop these abilities, and that’s exactly why I prefer coaching to lecturing, the prevalent teaching style for this grade level. I just try to prepare my students better for the challenges they will face in the employment market.
My teaching background:

I have also finished my courses in Digital Marketing and Social Media, Spanish linguistics, Tourism, Pedagogy, and Oratory at Edutin Academy. I am an experienced Spanish and Arabic teacher, having taught for over 7 years in Spain and abroad. I teach at all levels (beginner, pre-intermediate, intermediate, and advanced), all adapted to the Common European Framework for Languages (levels A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) and to the Instituto Cervantes curriculum.

My background outside of teaching:

I am an Arabist, Orientalist, and teacher of Modern Standard Arabic, Moroccan dialect, Spanish for foreigners, and English. I am specialized in Arabic philology, the history of the Arab world, the history of religions, and religious and cultural diversity management. I have a university degree in Arab and Islamic Studies and a Master's Degree in Arab and Hebrew Culture: Al-Andalus and the Contemporary Arab World from the University of Granada and the International Postgraduate School. I also have an Executive Diploma of Mediation and Political Science from the International Career Institute. Besides teaching and translating, I have had experience in other fields, like marketing, social work, reception, hostelry, librarian, and caregiver. I am an Arabic native speaker as well as Spanish. I have a C2 in English, and knowledge of French and Dutch at a basic level. I have diplomas in TESOL and TEFL as well as DELE which makes me suitable as a teacher.
