Bio:

Hi, guys! I'm Silvia, an Italian living in Barcelona for years now. Italian is my native language and over the past 10 years, I have studied and learned English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. I'm passionate about languages, traveling, and music. I worked in the localization and translation industry and now I'm back to teaching! Each of my classes will take inspiration from a song that will lead us to spontaneously chat. I'll always be open to focusing on your specific requests.

My teaching methodology:
A one-hour lesson with me is usually divided into 4 parts: - during the first 15 minutes, we listen to the song and read the lyrics. We go through some potential new terms that the student doesn’t know, specific structures, slang, and grammar rules. - In the second part, we take a look at some specific grammar structures that we saw in the lyrics, but more in detail. I usually explain the grammar rule by using book pages, website content, and some grammar exercises. - After that, if the student is interested in training conversation, we dedicate the second half of the class to speaking, chatting, and always using the grammar structures seen before. I tend to ask questions whose answers involve using those specific grammar rules. - If the student is not that interested in training conversation, we use the last 15 minutes to do more exercises, write some sentences, and read some relevant articles, depending on what they want to train more.
My teaching background:

I've been teaching Italian for a year and a half now. I've been working as a private tutor for both online and face-to-face sessions. My students come from all over the world and that's what I enjoy the most about my job. I've been teaching kids and adults covering all age ranges.

My background outside of teaching:

I'm an avid traveler and I'm passionate about foreign languages ​​and cultures. Also, I'm a committed supporter of diversity as a social value and I'm always open to new perspectives through which to observe the world
