I'm a friendly South African English teacher focused on helping you speak naturally and confidently. I’ve taught over 1,500 online lessons and also have real classroom experience. I’ve worked with professionals including lawyers, doctors, and engineers. My relaxed, conversation-based lessons improve fluency, vocabulary, and confidence in real-world situations. Whether for business, travel, or daily conversation, I adapt each lesson to your goals and help you become a more natural English speaker

My teaching methodology:

Materials: I use my own carefully prepared resources, including videos, music, role-plays, exercises, and homework tailored to your goals. Evaluations: Interactive discussions, quizzes, and real-world scenario practice to track your progress. Activities: Role-plays, conversation prompts, interactive projects, grammar exercises, interview preparation, and business English case studies. This approach makes lessons engaging, practical, and personalized, helping you improve confidence, fluency, and real-world communication skills.

My teaching background:

I am an experienced and passionate English teacher with both online and real classroom experience. I began my teaching journey in 2012 while volunteering at a local school in the Northern Cape, where I gained valuable classroom experience. Since becoming TEFL certified in 2021, I have taught over 1,500 online English lessons across multiple platforms. I have worked with students of all ages and levels, including true beginners, children as young as 5 years old, and adult professionals such as lawyers, doctors, and engineers. As a parent, I also have personal experience with language learning, as my daughter is fluent in both English and Afrikaans. My diverse experience allows me to adapt my teaching style to each student while focusing on confidence, fluency, and natural communication.

My background outside of teaching:

I’m a dynamic professional with experience across many fields, including building Nutech houses, IT and computer repairs, alarm and surveillance installations, mining office work, and government projects like social welfare card rollouts. I’ve also managed a scrap yard business and volunteer helping people overcome addiction. As a single dad with a high-school-aged daughter, I bring patience, empathy, and real-life experience into my teaching, making lessons relatable, practical, and motivating for all students.
