My teaching background:
With over 5 years of online and in-person teaching experience across Latin America, Africa, and Asia, I bring a global, practical approach to every lesson. I have been TEFL qualified for 10 years and specialise in teaching adults and motivated teenagers (18+). As an IELTS specialist and examiner, I focus strongly on structure in speaking and writing, the key to clear, high-band answers. I offer intensive IELTS courses (1 week to 1 month) designed to target your weaknesses and raise your score by at least 0.5 band. My personalised approach has helped many students reach their target scores efficiently. I adapt lessons to your learning style and focus on vocabulary growth, idioms, and natural expression. My background outside of teaching:
Over the past decade, I have travelled extensively across 60+ countries and lived in Rwanda, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Japan, Nepal, Turkey, Indonesia, and Thailand. This international lifestyle has given me first-hand experience of different cultures, communication styles, and the realities of living abroad. Alongside teaching, I also work as a travel coach, supporting nervous solo travellers and digital nomads as they prepare for life overseas. I understand the emotional and practical difficulties of moving to a new country, from communication anxiety to cultural adjustment. My interests include hiking, photography, football, and karaoke, which often feature naturally in my lessons. Through my own experience of these transitions, I naturally adapt my speaking style to be clear, patient, and well-paced, helping non-native speakers feel comfortable, confident, and understood in real-life situations.
