I have taught people of all ages and backgrounds from countries all over the world. I have been teaching online for about 5 years and taught in face-to-face classes before that. I believe that people learn best when the materials and approach are tailored to them. I prepare each lesson in advance and try to ensure that it will be interesting and informative. I try to adjust my pace and approach to the student's needs. I like to make my lessons challenging for students and promote conversation. I use online resources like Google docs, YouTube, Off2Class and other websites to make our lessons as interactive as possible. My background outside of teaching:
I am from Glasgow, UK and speak British English. I have worked in various other jobs and have a good understanding of business English, recruitment and technological themes. Many of my students in the past have been engineers and IT professionals who were looking to improve their English in order to work for international companies. I speak Spanish and have helped lots of Spanish speaking students overcome the difficulties they have when learning English.
