Bio:

Welcome to my profile! My name is Muslim, I am from Almaty, Kazakhstan. I AM A NATIVE RUSSIAN SPEAKER, and Advanced English speaker. I've been teaching Russian since 2019 to English speaking students from all around the world. I am also a TEFL-certified teacher of English as a second language, I mostly teach students of up to Intermediate level. I started teaching as a volunteer, but soon teaching became my passion and I realized I really enjoy helping people improve their language.

My teaching background:

I've been teaching Russian since 2019 to English speaking students, regardless their current language level, from all around the world. I am also a TEFL-certified teacher of English as a second language, I mostly teach ESL students of up to Intermediate level. I started teaching as a volunteer, but soon teaching became my passion and I realized I really enjoy helping people improve their language. I know how difficult it is to learn a new language. That's how everyone of us learns. I would like to make this process as enjoyable/fast/easy/effective as possible for you. I have taught to students of different levels, from different countries, with various backgrounds. I keep on volunteering which is so great for gaining additional unique experience. I have a lot of positive feedback, some students even became my friends! That's why I am sure I can help you achieve your foreign language goals.

My background outside of teaching:

Long story short: I have a diploma in Biotechnology, worked in IT (website manager, web programmer, web support specialist, web/system administrator), volunteered/freelance as a local tour guide. Now some details: I graduated from Kazakh National Agrarian University, but because I started learning programming earlier, while I was a student, I got my first job in IT. I learned lots of programming languages and technologies, such as Delphi, HTML, CSS, SQL, later I studied PHP and JavaScript. I like that. I worked in different companies, but never had a chance to create websites or software from scratch. I couldn't find this kind of job for quite a while, so while I was searching, I applied to so many other volunteer and freelances opportunities. One of which was Global Greeters Network project where I became a coordinator for Almaty city. That's how I started volunteering as local tour guide. Now I also arrange some private car tours in Almaty city and its region.
