Bio:

Hello my name is Sophie, I am a native English speaker from England however I am currently based in Peru. I have spent my life around the ocean and I am a keen surfer. Besides teaching English I work as a beach lifeguard on the south coast of England. I studied Spanish and biology, learning Spanish has given me the best opportunity to fully immerse myself in different cultures therefore my passion is to be able to share this with others by making learning exciting and encouraging.

My background outside of teaching:

Working as a senior lifeguard on a busy beach has allowed me to develop many skills when managing my team, I am very organised and responsible always thinking ahead. My colleagues say I am very calm in stressful situation which helps me build a strong relationship with my team. I enjoy working with children, It has been very rewarding working with the surf project here in Peru being able to watch the local kids progress their surfing and confidence in the water by gaining their trust and motivating them. I am a good listener, I love to find out about others passions and share interests to be able to learn from one another!
