Bio:
Hey, I'm Tom, I'm a British native from Hampshire, England. My classes aim to increase your confidence and fluency when speaking English so you can improve your conversational English. They can be focused on work related topics or more general ones depending on your needs. My teaching method is practical, interactive and engaging to ensure that you get the maximum ‘talk time’ possible during the classes. In my free time I like to travel, meet new people and keep fit.

My teaching background:
My journey began back in 2021 with the aim of helping Software Engineers advance their English communication skills. This was after I recognised how challenging it was for Software Engineers to communicate effectively in the international work arena. I've talked to many people who struggle with their confidence and fluency when speaking English in the workplace. Maybe some of you can relate? It's been a wonderful experience and I have helped 200+ tech professionals to improve their job performance, gain a promotion, or work for an international company. I've now decided to launch a new service to help all professionals practice and improve their English conversational skills. It's time to take control of your English communication skills and achieve new career opportunities, without feeling stressed or overwhelmed!
My background outside of teaching:
It's been quite the story for me. I used to work in sales but I knew deep down that something badly was missing. I didn't find any meaning or satisfaction in my work. And I knew I could do more. So in 2021, I formed an idea... One which would allow me to transition careers for good. I set up a business focused on helping Software Engineers improve their Business English communication. I was nervous. Entrepreneurship can be scary and unpredictable. I wondered if I'd miss the stability of a normal 9-5. 🕔 But it really worked out for me and I have helped over 200 tech professionals to improve their English communication skills. Aside from teaching, my background is in psychology, coaching, sales and event management. I understand the challenges you face when communicating in English and how to help you overcome them. Whether you want to prepare for an interview, or level up your English conversational skills at work, there's a good chance that I can help you.
