Bio:
Hello everyone! My name is Bryan Dorman and I am originally from Dallas, Texas, USA but currently reside near Puebla, Mexico. I have ten years experience as an English teacher and five years of experience teaching Business English. In addition, I also prepare people for the Cambridge exams, TOEFL, and IELTS examinations. I focus on the communicative aspects of English, as I want my students to speak English with confidence. With me there are no taboos; we can choose any topic that you want!

My teaching background:
I have taught classes since the year 2011, at language institutes, high schools, and a university in Mexico. I have been teaching online English courses since 2019 on a few platforms, and my students are from all over the world. I have taught executives Business English since 2015, principally in the automotive and pharmaceutical industries. After starting my online teaching career in 2019, I started to teach from various industries and departments from Accounting to Technical Support. I have taught exam preparation courses too, with several of my students going on to pass the TOEFL and IELTS examinations, being able to fulfill the requirements that they needed to cover to attend school abroad or to work abroad. All of the above was possible because in 2013 I obtained my first teaching certifications from Cambridge and in 2016 I took a 120 hours long TEFL course. I teach mainly adults and adolescents (teenagers), however, I am open to teaching kids too. I AM HAPPY TO HELP YOU!
My background outside of teaching:
In addition to teaching, I have also had business experiences in the following realms: Customer Service Tech Support Sales / Negotiations I studied Business Admin. in college, though I did not finish as I found a more interesting area in Computer Programming. I took courses in Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Business Fundamentals, among other areas. I am currently studying Computer Programming, for now focusing on JavaScript and different JS-based frameworks like Bootstrap and React, with the eventual goal of going into Java and Python and becoming a Data Scientist. I keep up with the news quite a bit, so if you have an interesting news item from your country, by all means share it and it will be a great discussion topic! I love trying out new foods and different cultural customs, as well as applying them to my daily life. If you have something interesting, no matter how controversial it might be, share it! I am a big fan of traveling; if you have good places, share them!
