My teaching background:
I have been an English and German teacher for 27 years.I teach at all levels in both languages and student ages, from young children to adults. I am an oral examiner of both English and American institutions as well as for the KPG German. I specialise in IELTS certification for academic studies abroad and my adult students trust me to learn German as they look for a job in German-speaking countries. I focus on teaching language through communication and interaction. I particularly emphasize real-life situations, role-playing, and authentic language use. I create scenarios for students to practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing in meaningful contexts.
My background outside of teaching:
I am an avid enthusiast of pilates courses and strength classes. Sharing my experiences and lessons learned from these activities can inspire students to step out of their comfort zones and embrace new challenges. I am an adventurous cook who loves experimenting and exploring diverse culinary traditions. Sharing your culinary escapades can lead to fun discussions about cultural exchange through food. Studying abroad, I am fluent in multiple languages and have a deep appreciation for cross-cultural communication. This unique perspective can foster discussions about the importance of language diversity and understanding different worldviews.
